How to open PL/SQL editor ???

Hello Everyone.....

Cab anyone tell me , How to work on PL SQL ... hw to open the editor or where to type the prog ?????

can we do that in Putty ???????

use the following command

define_editor=vi (press enter)

ed file_name.sql;

now u can edit it as in UNIX..

hw to run the prog ..???

at the end of the file, append '/'. then to run the procedure, use "@<filename>" in sql prompt.

it is nt working fr

dbms_output.put_line....

any idea abt this ???

at the begining of ur prog add the follwing

set serveroutput on;

or just type this command at the terminal.
