for beginners, it is better not to install linux separately. Use vmplayer or any other OS virtualization software. It works fine.

Install Inside Windows

i have installed ubuntu inside windows! 
i can be treated as if its like a software installed and can be uninstalled from add/remove program option.
and for starters its OK that u first practice using our lab systems then u move to installation.
